Endless Debt

Chapter 1505 - 64: Beyond Supreme

Chapter 1505 - 64: Beyond Supreme

As Seekers of Glory, if Nesanel’s Ether is the scorching sun, a tangible stream of fire filled with destructive chaos, then Holt stands at the opposite extreme.Holt’s Ether is exceptionally tranquil, like a calm pool of dead water. His power did not cause any distortion in reality. If not for the clear perception of the supreme power belonging to a Seeker of Glory, the Speaker and Siti would have thought Holt’s power was still imprisoned.

He flexed his neck and wrists; for so many years, this was the first time Holt had been shackled, treated like a prisoner. Fortunately, his risk paid off; he directly skipped those troublesome battles and arrived at the decision-making core of the All Secrets Order.

Then... suppress the rebellion.

"I’ve always thought that the reason humans are called humans, possessing so-called civilization, is because we selflessly dedicate ourselves, help each other, restrain personal desires, eliminate differences, and unite for greater ideals. Thus, we traverse the endless night."

Holt’s gaze seemed to pierce the Speaker’s eyes like a sharp knife, drilling into the depths of his soul. "The supremacy ideology of the Condensers entirely abandons these, turning human civilization into a beast-like food chain. We become like monsters, devoid of decency and dignity, eager to ravenously gobble up the bloodied flesh."

The Speaker laughed, his voice hoarse and sharp, as if knives were scraping against each other in his throat.

"What is this? A victory declaration? You know you’re not winning yet."

Holt said nonchalantly, "When I stepped into this place, it was already destined."

The rebellion hasn’t ended, yet it’s indistinguishable from an end, simply because Holt has arrived.

Siti stared at Holt with widened eyes; she was not as composed as the Speaker. Fear and panic grew within her heart. Siti has lived too long; when younger, she had the courage for a desperate struggle. But now, the time stolen from the hands of the Death God has long turned her into a coward.

She just wants to survive, yet she can’t think of a way to live.

Holt, the youngest Seeker of Glory of the Order Bureau, also the latest generation. A few minutes ago, Siti learned from the war report from the Aurora Path about Nesanel’s terror. It’s unimaginable to think of the terrifying power this newly risen Seeker of Glory, much younger than Nesanel, must possess.

Siti suddenly laughed, her face full of desolation.

The All Secrets Order chose to go to war with the Order Bureau at this time, largely out of necessity. The conflicts between various forces have gradually sharpened, war imminent. Once the Order Bureau prevails and consolidates other forces completely, then the All Secrets Order will never have an independent day.

For their ideology, interests, immortal vision, fear of death, and greed for eternal life, the All Secrets Order cooperates with the Night Race, trying to win their own interests amid the struggles.

It’s a gamble, but regardless, they never expected to lose so quickly.

The Order Bureau’s methods are so deadly and swift. This isn’t an envoy; it’s basically an army, albeit few. Yet one can form a battalion.

The trap set for the Order Bureau has now become their burial ground.

"Fa...Fabien," Siti suddenly spoke, cursing, "It’s him! Those damned Truth Faction!"

The Order Bureau undoubtedly has strong military power, but it cannot be omniscient. Their actions proceed so smoothly, and there must be an internal problem within the All Secrets Order. Then the suspect is pretty clear.

"Quiet!"

Holt raised his hand, making a hushing gesture.

Siti’s voice cut off abruptly; she couldn’t open her mouth or make any sound, her movements burdened with immense sluggishness, as if her body was cast into cement, unable to move.

The Speaker also fell into the same state of sluggishness, but Holt did not close off his throat. He could still speak.

"An interesting Secret Energy, is it the Void Spirit School? Directly affecting my nerves, making me lose control of my body?" The Speaker curiously sensed it. "Or...is it the Commanding School? Directly controlling the surrounding objects? But that doesn’t seem right; how could you surpass my Rectangular Soul Critical?"

"Well then, soon enough, we’ll know."

The Speaker muttered a few words quietly. Facing Holt with shining eyes, he remained calm.

"Regarding your mention of human civilization, I’d like to know, how would you define human civilization?"

"Is this a debate?"

Holt felt slightly impatient; he thought after delivering eloquent statements, it would be time for action, turning the place into ruins. Yet, he saw no battle intent in the Speaker, who seemed rather concerned about the ideological struggle. As for Siti, as a Seeker of Glory, she was too aged, hardly a threat.

The Speaker said, "Just treat it as the nonsense uttered before death; wouldn’t you want to understand some things?"

"Oh? You’re much more interesting than I expected."

"In your imagination, what kind of person am I?"

"Someone who, to survive, became utterly frenzied. It’s obvious you possess complete rationality now," Holt looked up at the Legislators curled up in the Crystal Beehive, "far more clear-headed than any of them."

Holt bears as much pressure as Nesanel did. Nesanel risked his life, breaking through the trap of the All Secrets Order, while Holt’s task is to face the entire Ancestral Council directly.
